*Whisky GALORE: Father retires early after selling Scotch collection for ?225,000 

*After spending ?4,700 on 2 casks of whisky in 1994, a dad has sold them both for a whopping ?225,000 some 30 years later ? despite not being a whisky expert!

Bank manager, Rick Parfitt, says he will use the money to pay off his mortgage and retire 3 years earlier than he had planned.

Parfitt spent ?3,200 on a cask of single malt Macallan and a further ?1,500 on a cask of Tobermory in the hope that they would be worth more in the future.

His luck was in, netting a return of 4,700% - and TAX FREE as whisky is classed as a ?wasting asset? by HMRC.

Comment:  I have a small unopened bottle of whisky from 1977..
