Subj : all banking by appointment only To : Charles Pierson From : August Abolins Date : Tue Jan 19 2021 08:37:00 Hello Charles! ** On Monday 18.01.21 - 18:20, Charles Pierson wrote to August Abolins: CP> I was tempted to ask for rolls of change to see how that CP> was handled, as the only slots I saw were where the cash/ CP> checks were fed in and the slot bills came out, and the CP> receipt printer. I didn't notice any thing to deal with CP> coibs. I don't there is any ATM in Canada that offers coins. But that is another thing.. eventually I run out of coins. Why are people hoarding that stuff? My only option is/was to go to the bank. Now, in light of the recent "by appointment only" imposition, I have another solution. But maybe I shouldn't mention it - at least, not yet. Yes.. my main bank has the "take a pic with your smartphone" and deposit it that way method. But I don't have a current smartphone that will support getting apps from the google-store. I *could* however install the .APK direct, if I could get it. CP> When I first opened the account with my current bank, my CP> checking account was actually called "No check checking." OMG. What nonsense in their naming of things just to sound different and get your attention. CP> WHhile on this subject, does your shop accept electronic CP> payments? CP> I ask, because last summer while I was trying to get my CP> nursery/yard art business going, I primarily used Online CP> market places like LetGo or OfferUp. Yes.. I have a commercial terminal for that. It accepts Mastercard, Visa, Debit, and ApplePay. People can also make a payment online via PayPal or eTransfer too. Never heard of the LetGo/Offerup alternatives. Maybe it's just a USA offering. They seem to be tied in with specific items for sale. I would need a simple alternative to just send cash. CP> In any case, a few people when asking about plants and CP> such, asked me uf Iaccepted Venmo or CashApp or Paypal. CP> Through those you can process payments and Transfer funds CP> to the bank electronically. Just an idea. Another popular service is the Square. It's a pretty good solution for someone who needs portability. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.48 * Origin: Mobile? Join CHAT here: https://tinyurl.com/y5k7tsla (1:153/757.21) .
