I've started commuting 75 miles each way in my BMW i3, which gets aroud 120 miles highway plus another 70 miles with the gas-powered range extender. I've had very poor luck finding a working charger along my route - even the chargers in my company's parking lot were working at 25% capacity (1 of 4). And, not only do I need to take time out to charge, but getting on and off the freeway adds delays during commute hours. The parking lot finally installed 12 new chargers, and it's been great. I get in at around 50% charge, charge during the day, move my car around 2pm, get a cup of coffee and go back to the office. Drive home with a full charge. --- MultiMail/Win v0.52 * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/1) .
