Subj : C= SEQ Files to DOS .TXT To : All From : Ed Vance Date : Tue Jan 02 2018 15:32:00 I have used the MSDOS <-> 64 (MSDOS64) Program by M. Garamszeghy when I wanted to be able to put a SEQ file I made on the Commodore 64 PC into a ASCII .TXT file I could use on a computer that has a Windows OS on it. I use a 3-1/2" 2S/2D disk formatted for MS-DOS 720 KB and a C= 1581 Drive to put the .TXT file(s) on the disk. I've found it fine to occasionally convert a C= SEQ file to a ..TXT file but it only allows "One File" to be Transformed at a time. It doesn't have a "Bulk" selection feature. MSDOS64 takes a long time to Read and Write one file and it would be a real long time if I tried using it for over 75 files. I thought if I used WINVICE 3.1 it would be able to help Me do what I want to do but I can't see anywhere in the Manual about it being able to read a SEQ file. The Manual talks about Reading disks converted to D64, D71, D81. If I converted the 1581 disk with the SEQ files to a D81 disk would I be able to use WINVICE's x64.exe program to Read those SEQ files and Save them to the Windows XP computer I use? I have read about D64 but never was interested in doing that to any of my 1541 disks (or D81 to my 1581 disks). Is there another Commodore 64 Program I could use? (I guess I ought to look at Zimmers after writing this) ;-) Thanks for reading (and Helping). .... When you can't see the bright side, polish the dull one. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.49 * Origin: CCO BBS - capcity2.synchro.net - 1-502-875-8938 (1:2320/105) .
