The advantages, for me anyway, of running it on AWS is >the flexibility. Once I discovered the right sizing of the system, I set up th > BBS as a reserved instance. (2 vCPU, 2GB memory) I have no experience with a hosted system but, on my home pc, dosemu will occupy 1 cpu easily. I found it did not run real well on a 2 cpu system if I had other things (like the bbs itself) running. The system I run it on now is a 4 cpu and it works much better. My machine also has xserver running. Without an xserver, I tend to get more free resources for dosemu and other things running (like a binkd server). * SLMR 2.1a * My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air... --- SBBSecho 3.12-Linux * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105) .
