And according to scientists, a spotless Sun is a sign that the next solar minimum is coming. The last one is known as the "Maunder Minimum" between 1645 and 1715. Known as `the little Ice Age', it produced a string of very cold winters in the Northern hemisphere. Scientists are wondering if we will see a similar situation in the next few years.
