The test Lubuntu 32bit vBox VM gets 1Gb RAM, and has ~800Mb free after boot-up and while running some non-Fido stuff (OS, command prompt, and Tux Commander file manager). The Lubuntu thing is one of 3 or 4 VMs running on the Dell, with the others being: 1x Win98se; 1x point-sized Linux Fido test system; and maybe, another old Linux system that's older than the Dell (chicken & egg thing).
