Maybe all that is a publicity stunt - to make he look like a softie, someone who can connect with the average citizen - and not someone who orders assassinations on foreign soil.  But that wouldn't be an unfamilair tactic by any other world leader.

No.  I thought that if he would choose a song that mentions a place he would choose a song that would have place in Russia - THAT would be more forgiving for such a bad performance.
