Once again, yes, it is... ml> it is a fidonet specification... If it is then it has been pirated and corrupted. The actual utc offset ***REQUIRES*** either a + or a - character at the start of the string depending on the specific timezone being expressed no matter what some lame FTS has to say about it. ml> not an internet one... Agreed. However any implimentation I have seen on the internet deploys the +|- character such as defined in such programming functions as strftime(). They appear to have adopted the spec for utc offsets as it was designed by the people who truly understand these sorts of things. The US Navy comes to mind when thinking about an organization that had/has major influence on such matters. ml> please stop confusing the two... I would NEVER do that. ml> it is extremely old and tiring, maurice :( I don't recall asking you. You could have easily ignored this. I wouldn't have minded any. Life is good, Maurice .... Don't cry for me I have vi. --- GNU bash, version 5.0.2(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) * Origin: Little Mikey's EuroPoint - Ladysmith BC, Canada (2:280/464.113) .
