I ended up installing my PCBoard 15, and using it's MODEM database - doing 
trial and error, until I ended up with a simple:

AT&FE1
ATV1X4W1&C1&D2&K5\N3
ATS0=0S(something=255)S95=44
AT&W0

And I appear to be able to call out - now I have to figure out how to test 
inbound this week ;-)
