Subj : 38 bottles of beer on the wall... To : Nancy Backus From : Maurice Kinal Date : Fri Nov 24 2017 02:29:47 Hey Nancy! NB> I don't think I've ever had a Canadian Apparently there are some good single malts but I've never had one so I can't confirm it. Canadian beer is good, better than American beer that is for sure. Mind you that isn't saying much especially given the topic at hand. Maybe one of these years I'll try a Canadian single malt whisky just to say I did. Speaking of which, one of the island breweries is threatening to start producing a whisky in the near future but it'll be at least 10 years from now before they can bottle anything that could possibly compete with the Glenlivet/Macallan standard as you call it. In the meantime it would have to be something from the east, say one of the ones produced by the Glenora distillery in Nova Scotia. Either "Glen Breton Rare 21 Year Old Glen Breton Rare 21 Year Old" or "Glen Breton 15 Year Old - Battle of the Glen" looks tempting but I've never seen or even heard about them in this neck of the woods. NB> So, our discussion shouldn't be tipping them off to your stores... ;) I think what tips them off is when they see me going to the store. However the 15yo Glenlivet I bought in Nanaimo so only the person I was with is aware of it and he knows what it is allocated for. He did have a taste of the Macallan Gold but dropped in after the cybertoast had occurred. NB> as his was often the nicer, we'd usually be drinking his That would work for me. ;-) Life is good, Maurice .... Future cybertoasts of note: 2018-01-01 is 38 days from now and falls on a Monday. 2024-11-05 is 2538 days from now and falls on a Tuesday. --- GNU bash, version 4.4.12(1)-release (x86_64-silvermont-linux-gnu) * Origin: Pointy Stick Society - Ladysmith BC, Canada (1:153/7001.250) .
