It doesn't say.  In fact when I looked it up on the internet they claim to be 
no longer giving that information and according to 
https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/18098/macallan-gold (and I quote);

   Macallan Gold was released in late 2012 as part of a series of
   colour-themed bottlings introduced to replace the distillery's
   age-statement expressions.  Produced from 9-15yo first fill and
   refill sherry casks, it was designed to sit between the now-defunct
   10yo Sherry Oak and 10yo Fine Oak bottlings.

According to the label on the bottle;

   EXCLUSIVELLY MATURED IN OAK SHERRY CASKS FROM JEREZ, SPAIN

Very good stuff and comparable to 12 year old Glenlivet and was only slightly 
more expensive, roughly ten dollars Canadian difference.  Given that I'd be 
inclined to return to tradition and purchase the 12 year old Glenlivet next 
time.  I am guesstimating that won't be happening for at least another year 
from now given that I still have the 15 year old for the 2018-01-01 cybertoast 
.... and probably beyond.
