It all starts out as fun and games ...

I have two and my wife used to think the eldest was my favourite since I 
treated them so much different and the youngest was often in trouble, moreso 
than the elder one.  However I love them both dearly and I seriously doubt 
there is any favouritism at play, or ever was, despite what my former wife 
thought at the time.  As for the grandchildren I don't see them often enough to 
even get the chance to see of any of them could potentially be a favourite.
