It's odd, I don't do anything different with the USB stick, besides hit F11 for 
the boot menu at startup and select the USB drive to be loaded from first.

Then I go through the same install procedure as I normally would, and when it 
comes time to reboot into my newly created system, it hangs on boot because it 
doesn't recognize any operating system. Wierd stuff, I tell ya!

I plan on having one VM dedicated to a media server. So I'm sure at some point 
I'll end up using up all my space. Unless I keep it clean and wipe what I 
*think* we're done with (probably only to find out later we weren't really done 
with it). Our kids will want to watch a movie they haven't seen in 6 months 
sometimes, so I have to be careful what I get rid of. ;)

I may not even use it for any kind of productive system whatsoever. I just want 
to do it for the experience at the moment. Who knows, though. After I actually 
complete it I may be interested enough to continue on with it.

Seems as though for the first time doing it, it will take extra long since I 
need to go through the entire book (it's a big book!) to make sure I don't miss 
anything. I've read the first 5-6 chapters and skimmed the rest a couple of 
times now already just to get myself ready for what's to come. It's definitely 
intimidating, but I'll eventually overcome when I have some free time and the 
server is deployed full time. ;)
