Mostly curious.  I had to use the git version as well as edit the Makefile to 
suit the target machines.  So far it runs on aarch64-raspi3b+-linux-gnu, which 
is this machine I am typing to you on, as well as x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.  Both of 
these targets have the -lncurses dependency rather than the -lcurses dependency 
so the fix was easy;

  sed -i 's/-lcurses/-lncurses/' Makefile

However symlinking libcurses.so to libncurses.so would probably work as well 
.... unless of course libcurses is already onboard and then the Makefile should 
work without modification.
