Yes it does.  However I still believe it was a good idea and will find out 
sometime in the future if it paid off.

I got the sense that he will.  Also I gave him a bit of an edge especially 
concerning getting real time clocks to work on that platform.  We'll see if he 
can come up with a case for that given it's addition will require something new 
as the supplied one is not thick enough to accomadate it.
