   Without having tested it, if you start Argus from a batch file like e.g.

:loop
argus.exe
REM
REM (do some stuff)
REM
goto loop

   And then have another batch file doing:

echo. > \argus\exit.now

   ... you can do all kind of log file manipulation in the REM part. Of course 
it must include some check-out so that you can exit the batch file without 
having it going into an eternal loop, but you'll get the idea I hope?
