That's how I'd interpret it; of course, such a niche businerss may not have been going great guns before covid -- this might've been the last straw, & they've chosen to retire peacefully. Factors, as well as ON's restrictions, might include cost of location. . . & ON's tax structure for small businesses. . . I think BC hits them hard, to pay for the leniency given the big corporations. . . :P Yiou;'d think the more liberal parties would suport proprieterships over all, as it fits their ultimate ideal of the emplyees owning 100% of their labour. In a self owned/operated business, you have 100% of employees sharing in 100% of ownership. I have nothing but respect for those who take that big leap to business ownership, of their own concept (far more so than the one who just buys a turnkey business, or a franchise.) The excepton to the latter are cabbies, who often work for a company to bank up the money needed to purchase a taxi-ready vehicle, then buy a ready to go vehicle when they can (the ones with accessible vans really fork over a ton of $! I definitely appreciate these) --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-5 * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757) .
