In my immediate vacinity, I only know of one business that around any more that closed during the past year. An appliance shop that had been around for at least a decade that I'm aware of. They sold used appliances, and the former property owner of the mobile home park where I rent space for my trailer used them often when he needed to replace tge appliances for his rental units. When the lockdown restrictions first started around here, I noticed they weren't open. I assumed that either they weren't considered "essential business" or that since it was primarily older gentlemen working there they were being cautious. Time passed, and I noticed the sign on the building was moved to the wall of the building across the side street from them, which actually made sense because that's where most of the people parked to load up. But still tge place wasn't open that I coukd tell, unless they were doing by appointment. Then all of the appliances were gone, but the signs were still there. I saw people working on the building, replacing sheetrock and the like. Now there is a For Lease sign up. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A46 2020/08/26 (Raspberry Pi/32) * Origin: theoasisbbs.ddns.net:1357 .
