Here's a story from Sharon B that relates to hidden items. [Sharon, please send 
me your mailing address so your I can send your tape measure.]

Hidden items...  This reminded me of my mother.  She had a big freezer chest 
that she kept frozen meats, vegetables, etc.  My brother went to clean it out 
because it quit working and he found a bag of 250 silver dollars.  When he 
asked her about it, she was like, "Yeah, I didn't want anyone spending it"

Here's Debbie from Oregon's story (tape measure on the way!):

Linda from Alaska's story about finding money in odd places reminded me of my 
own experience.  I was left as the executor of an older couples estate.  While 
cleaning out the house I found several of the old glass cilinder-style 
Alka-Seltzer bottles in drawers.  Each bottle was full of quarters.  I ended up 
finding about $500.00 worth of quarter filled bottles!
