I learned about Joe doing beginner lessons @ linux.org. I'm having
difficulty coping with the overload of info for linux.

There's somebody right now updating UAE for the A1. It'll be crap until the
JIT engine is running. Without it, it's like an 7mhz A500. :-/

KPM(KDE Package Manager) is Debian's tool. I use it lot! It's a file manager
as well as an Un/Installer. There's a prg. I haven't used yet called "Alien."
It converts Red Hat and Slackware packages into Debian ones.

Question: how do I download in binary. Haven't found help on that yet. Can
you tell by file suffix if it'll binary. I got segmented error on a down/l
for APC-UPS -- server daemon. I think it was a tar.gz (tarball?). Anyway,
there are no readme's laying around for help. :-/
