Hans doesn't like my AOL. I might add he's using Mozzilla & Gnome. The cheater! =:0 > > Using AOL isn't a problem; any huge amount of junk attached to any > message is though... It that ads thing. =:o Is no such thing a free Mail List. The HTML attachments by the YaYhoos are their group sponsor. I even see them in plain text! People with dial-up don't care for this crap. > Look at Fido's lovely niceness - isn't it nice? Nice. No HTML, no 3MB > Word documents, no 100KB JPGs... Ahh.. Nice. True, but too many bodies hang out here neither! =:o Sorry you lost your AIO job. :-\ I always looked forward to AIO for the latest gossip and news. I hope things will evolve into something better. :) I saw Mark's 'Just-Amiga' posting for an open AIO ML. That's good -- keeping in touch with the Amiga maniacs. =:0 I finally got my A1 to do internet. Another case of bad setup by the Debian distro. There's a DSL/PPPoE selection on the KDE Desktop to create the configure. Well, it didn't work. Read docs and HOWTOs 'till my eyes fell out for last ten days.8-[ Finally, got the DHCP -- DyanamicHostConnectionProtocal in the proper file. Jeez, what a trip! I have no SSL setup yet. I'm on the KDE MLs, so I'll ask someone there about that. I created a OS 3.9 Emergency-Disk in UAE. So, that looks really good. Another snag revealed: the OS CD uses CacheCDFS which is SCSI. The A1 is normal IDE. You can do SCSI emulation *IF* you know the magic words; I didn't. I used the sytems CDFS to go around that. Works! :) Will you run OS4 on your A4000? BlizzardPPC go on tour next month. Regards, Dennis > Neil Williams, neil@zeusdev.co.uk - Uni, ug00026 at sees bangor ac uk | AmiQWK 2.9 - FREEWARE | ....
