Simple economics - the Cisco router that would have had arcnet interfaces would have cost me some additional 1300 Swiss Francs over ethernet. And Ethernet was somewhat faster even back then. Even I, pretty die-hard Amiga fanatic, have come to that conclusion. It's the problem that we need a viable and wide-spread software platform. If we have this, we can possibly win back the hearts and have a following like the Mac platform. Also, today the City of Munich pretty much decided to switch all their desktops and servers to Linux over a period of years. Looks like M$ got shafted. -- email: mussi@snoop.alphanet.ch | "If you're taking flak, Fidonet: 2:301/133 | you're above the target." --- MBSE BBS v0.36.00 (Linux-i386) * Origin: Snoop InfoSystems - a Micro$loth Free Zone 4ever (2:301/133) .
