DS> That's a flexible quality to have. For the price of just the AmigaOne motherboard, I can buy a whole Win outfitted PC. I don't see the need for emulation. TBH, no emulation is perfect. DOSemu under linux is about as close to perfect as any emulation I've ever seen, but then what programs are written exclusively for MSDOS these days? Win emulation on the Mac can be good, but needs quite powerful hardware to make it easily useable, and then it's missing small parts that make the whole thing tedious to use regularly. Even WinUAE isn't perfect, as you'd probably know by now. Once again, powerful hardware will mostly overcome the emulation shortcomings, though it hasn't replaced the Amiga hardware completely.. As for a Win emulation on the AmigaOne, hadn't you better wait 'til it actually has an operating system to run on it before trying to emulate others? Well, once you have it all running, go here... http://home.t-online.de/home/sebauer/english.html And grab the latest NListTree & NList classes to speed up internal YAM execution. Worth the effort, especially on mail folders with lots of messages. >> [...] DS>>> I was surprised that Voyager ran in AIAB! Like Neil said in his post on this subject, bite the bullet and buy what you want NOW. Hanging 'round waiting for the next generation is just leave you diappointed when it doesn't show. I setup and maintain all the email clients on the machines at work and one of the first things I check after creating a new account on a machine is that the "plain text" box is checked in Outlook. Apart from anything else, we have a traffic quota on our server and sending the same message as both text and html could possibly send us over the monthly limit. >> [...] DS> I visted the MorphZone recently, I see Genesi-USA is setting up a HQ in DS> Arizona. AI continues to give us the silent treatment. What can I say? I've tried MorphOS and it's extremely "Amiga-like" but I'm yet to even hear of anyone seeing AmigaOS 4. You draw your own conclusions.
