Many people, including BBS people, politicians, and news reporters, are
getting it wrong with political terminology. Let's see where the problem is:

Conservatives use these terms:
immigrant-- someone who has entered the US lawfully
illegal immigrant-- someone who has entered the US illegally
legal US resident-- someone who has come legally to stay permanently
kidnapper-- someone who takes someone child without asking

Liberals use them more liberally: 
immigrant-- someone who has entered the US, lawfully or not
illegal immigrant-- racist slang, invented by the KKK 
legal US resident-- the kind of immigrant that libs hate & never talk about
parent-- title given to undocumented kidnappers to make them feel good

If I break into someone's home, kill people, and steal things, conservatives
would probably call me a "criminal." But liberal headlines would read
something like "Hungry, poor man tries to get ahead in the world."
