But they have to be caught first. And for statistical >purposes, they need to be tried by the same judges or juries. It may be necessary to grant them a change in venue in order to ensure they get a fair trial. At least that way they will have a fighting chance, unlike their victims. >There are a lot of women who want a female president, and that's similar to > "more blacks are executed than whites." There are lots more women than men in this country. And most adults, both men and women, want to be president. There are lots more white folk than black folk in this country. Yet far more black folk are executed than white folk. Especially poor black folk. Mostly young single black men, thus keeping the birth rate down. Note that no rich man or rich woman is ever executed. Of any race. And no intellectually challenged person is ever executed. Of any race. And no children are ever executed. Of any race. It's too bad not everybody has his/her own excuse. What a wonderful country this would be if everybody had an exemption. All people would be created equal and have equal rights ... >It's just what it is. I think there just so happens to be more males > interested in the presidency, and there just so happens to be more blacks > interested in crime. Not racism or sexism; just the way it is. There are four women who have officially announced their candidacies for the Democratic nomination for president. This is early, so do expect more women to jump into the field. On the Republican side, women are steering clear, waiting until The Orange One embarrasses himself in his bid to win a second term. And then, it will be open season, with tons of women announcing their candidacies for the Republican nomination for president. Look how many women (of both parties) who are serving in Congress today. A record high. And that number will continue to grow. At all levels of government, not just federal. There is more crime committed by blacks that has been reported than crime committed by whites. But that does not mean that blacks commit more crime than whites or vice versa. Reported crime is not the same thing as crimes commmitted. For example, most crime is committed by family members. Why would parents want to turn their own children in? Makes no sense. Better to let them get away with it. Here is an example - The other day, a white 21-year-old male got mad at his white parents because they kicked him out of their home. So he went to his white girlfriend's place and begged her to let him stay there. She refused, so he shot her and her sister dead, along with her uncle. Then he went to his parent's house and shot them dead. Nobody reported the crime, as the victims were dead, and the shooter had left the scene. Not sure if law enforcement has found him yet, but if not I am sure he soon will be. Usually, when a crime is committed, it is black on black. Or white on white. For whatever reason, folks of the same color tend to flock together, and live in the same places. And most crime is local, so ... >LL>It is not just the death penalty. Black folks are given harsher >I don't see that. Maybe that happens when it's a conservative judge. When >it's a democrat judge, maybe the white guy gets the chair? The death penalty is not really a conservative/liberal issue. Or a republican/democrat issue. About 1/3rd of all politicians are against the death penalty, for various reasons. Of the remaining 2/3rds, some are undecided. There is no fair way to administer the death penalty. And it is disproportional. If we acted only on our emotions, it would be easy to condemn and pull the switch ourselves. But when we think it out, we realize locking them up in prison for the rest of their lives is a much better option. >LL>What will happen when white folks are no longer the majority? >LL>It is only a matter of time when that happens. Not a question > >That time has already come decades ago in many parts of the USA. I'm a white >guy. I was a minority in New Mexico for 10 years. I got treated like garbage >by hispanics and natives. If I was hispanic, I would've got hired for better >jobs, people would have let their kids play with my kids, I wouldn't have > been mad-dogged everywhere I went. Back in the 1950s, a white journalist decided to make himself black by injecting himself with a drug that increased his melanin. He did so under doctor supervision, so please do not try that at home. He wrote his piece, and came to be known as "Watermelon Man". He never would have been accepted in certain places as a white man, but was greeted and welcomed as part of the crowd as a black man. The song "Watermelon Man" is about this person. Read the lyrics. Google it, and read the book. This is not fiction. >I don't hold it against them though; prejudism is human nature, and it's >everywhere. However, in defense of whites, I must say that my hispanic wife >has not dealt with any obvious racism in the 4 years that we've lived in NY. We all make judgements. That is part of our nature. Imagine if we accepted everything, without question, and just continued on our merry way. That would mean we have no values. By what standard should be make judgements? That is a better question. Should we choose our friends based solely on the color of their skin? Or on what gender they are? Or by what religion they are? Or by what political leanings they have? >Eye opener? If you're white, stay out of the latino-southwest. Let them live > their racist lives there, and live your loving non-racist life elsewhere. Jesus was black. Had to leave when he was an infant to live in another place where he could not be found. It's all in the gospel. I mean, Roman soldiers were looking for a little black baby in a white neighborhood. In Egypt, it was impossible for Roman soldiers to discern which little black baby they were looking for. --Lee -- Get Her Wet Here --- MesNews/1.08.05.00-gb * Origin: - nntp://rbb.fidonet.fi - Lake Ylo - Finland - (2:221/360) .
