Subj : Due-Date Abortions in NY To : aaron thomas From : Lee Lofaso Date : Sat Jan 26 2019 15:23:30 Hello Aaron, >I have a hard time giving credit to Andrew Cuomo, and today it's got even > worse. He was elected to a second term, so he must be liked by a good number of New Yorkers. Maybe not everybody, but certainly a healthy lot of them. >From what I understand, and I haven't found a very complete article on it > yet, Andrew Cuomo, along with some other loving NY lawmakers, signed a bill > legalizing abortions for women right up to their due date. Medical/health decisions are best left between doctor and patient. Not legislators, most of whom know very little about medicine and health. >In the past, I've heard people argue that "abortion is murder," and I've > heard the phrase "late term abortion," but this is the most sickening > abortion bill I've ever heard about. It is not an abortion bill, but a health issue. Who should make the decision as to who should, or should not, be allowed to have a certain medical procedure? And what kind of medical procedures should be allowed to be performed by doctors and others? I am not a woman. As such, I will never have to make a decision as to whether I want to have an abortion. But who am I to say what a woman wants? Who am I to say what is in her best interest? I am not a doctor. I cannot advise her of what she should, or should not do. >How much more liberal do we need to get with abortions before 10 year olds > can be aborted legally? Is Andy gonna sign off on that one too? He should. No 10-year-old child should be forced to have a baby. Especially if they were raped by an adult. What kind of a sick society would force youngsters to have a baby? Not even the Taliban in Afghanistan are that perverted. Rape is a crime of violence, not passion. When a woman is raped, regardless of age, she is taken to a hospital and cleansed, with samples taken to match the perp who raped her. As such, if she was inpregnated by the person who raped her, she would no longer be pregnant. But what if her father raped her? Or her uncle? Or brother? Some parents would force their children to have the baby, just to keep themselves out of prison. Can't really say I'd blame the rapist in that regard. But wouldn't it be better for law enforcement to arrest those who are rapists, and protect those who have been raped? You know, place the children in foster care, and make sure they have the best medical care that can be provided for them. >I was all proud of that gimpy, coke-faced sob until I read about this. We should all stand up and applaud Andrew Cuomo. This country needs more people like him. --Lee -- We Put Big Loads In Tight Places --- MesNews/1.08.05.00-gb * Origin: - nntp://rbb.fidonet.fi - Lake Ylo - Finland - (2:221/360) .
