I think of myself as a right-leaning libertarian.  I used to ask some
ultra-conservative friends how they could be anti-abortion while also being
anti-government-assistance for women who have kids that they cannot afford
and against the teaching of birth control in schools.

They could never answer this in a manner that I felt like they'd actually
answered the question.

While I find it objectionable, I am also not a woman and will never, ever
be in their shoes when it comes to making such a decision.  So, I really
don't feel like I have the right to tell them they can or cannot.  It is
between them and their God, as far as I am concerned.
