I don't at all aline with them and sometimes I >>feel like an outsider. > >I am not disabled. My views are more libertarian and I also feel like an >outsider a lot. A lot of my old friends from school have really moved far, >far left and are pretty sensitive about it. I feel like I have to walk on >eggshells around many of them. I can only imagine what trying to >communicate with them would be like if I were on the far right... I am >guessing they would stop talking to me. A party of one? Why has our society become so polarized? It used to be, not so long ago, that regardless of party or ideology, folks could talk with each other and have real conversations. And even have some agreements, at least on some issues. Not any more. Today it more like a war. You are either with me, or against me. Pick your side. And no caving to the other side. Everybody folks their arms, and looks the other way. Who benefits from this? Somebody does. That is why whenever somebody tries to get the two sides to agree on anything, that somebody gets shot down as being some kind of a traitor. So this madness continues. The government is in shutdown mode. And this game can go on for as long as the leaders who are promoting it want it to continue. Each leader is blaming the other, rather than admitting their own fault in the matter. And this game can be played over and over again, as long as they want, whenever they want. I blame you, you blame me, everybody else blames each other. Somebody somewhere is pulling the strings. Who is the dummy? Why does the dummy continue to play along? --Lee -- Pork.
