If the Democrats didn't work so hard to make the president look bad, they
would succeed more. Democrats offer some policies that can be beneficial dfor
all Americans (climate, public-assistace,) and if they would bend on some
things, the Republicans would bend on others. Or, they don't even have to
bend; they could compromise, and help each other get at least 1/2 of what they
want.

There are personal politics that these officials must be facing. Could you
imagine how it would be if Congress compromised with Trump on stuff? I think
it would ultimately be a very good thing, however, to get that started,
somebody has to break the ice, and risk attacks from other Democrats for
compromising with "hardcore conservatives," as they will refer.
