`tim' is not now.....nor has he *ever* been interested in setting up any `FTN

I have never TRIED such things, thus there is no `failed in every instance'...
since there has never been any `...instance' in the first place!


I have several times been offered the opportunity to do all that crap....


And I have a few times carefully weighed the notion of doing so.


But upon reflection I decided that I wasn't all that interested in being part
of this THAT deeply.


I do this `Fido' thingy to pass idle time. The infrequency I DL message
packets, and even more infrequent replies are the measure of the give-a-shit
factor with which I regard Fido anymore.


One high ranking individual in this zone (who's name will not be mentioned)
falsely accused a user of being a convicted child molester, and implied that
other similar charges were `pending'.


The person who should have acted to rectify the false charges (who's name will
also not be mentioned) not only did not remonstrate with the accuser, but
posted a reply to the thread that appeared to back up the false claim.


When I spoke up and pointed out the hypocrisy of the two individuals refusing
to live up to a standard they themselves demanded of others, and defended the
user against them.....they made trouble for me such that my access to Fido was
greatly restricted. In fact, I was only able to `read' but not post for a long
time.


Neither one of the offenders ever issued any sort of apology to the person
they falsely accused, or ever owned up to their deliberate slander.


And you would probably not be greatly surprised at the `lefties' in Fido who
lined up behind them.


The more that incident unfolded the closer my `give-a-shit' meter needle got
to zero.
