MS contributed $500,000 to Linux last I heard, MS is interested in Linux Cloud
and Server, I doubt they will ever want anything to do with Linux as a desktop.
 I am an Ubuntu guy and use it to run my VPS game servers and also my Raspberry
PI game console that runs many emulators.
