It sounds like you CJ> have a well-designed system in place for accessing and sharing weather CJ> information on your station. I used to have that SyncWx app online, but since the original API from Weather Underground isn't supported, it's no longer on the BBS. I haven't had a chance to check out that other weather deal lately, due to health and other issues. I'm lucky to just update the ham radio and weather data on the BBS (usually twice a day on the weather, and whenever ham radio bulletins arrive via email), and do my QWK Mail. It's very difficult to sit in the computer chair for long periods of time anymore...and I hate that, as there are a large amount of the doorgames I enjoy playing to keep my mind sharp. The hobbies are a temporary relief from the other stress in my life. I have several bulletin and information doors on ham radio and weather, as well as the "WeatherCaster" door where you can "create a forecast" (it's advised one checks with their local National Weather Service Office or meteorological agency for the latest forecasts and data). While I manually enter the data in the "Weather Notice" door, it still gives folks an idea of what to expect over the next week in central Arkansas. We're heading into the active part of our spring tornado season now, and that means more days of thunderstorms and downtime. No amount of surge protection will stop damage from a direct or close lightning strike. Daryl ....
