Have never used a Surface, but agree on the Lenovo. Typing this from my daily driver ThinkPad T510 that is around 8 years old but still solid. I've added memory and an SSD to it and seriously don't think I'll ever use anything *other* than a Lenovo again. I'm thinking maybe Santa is going to bring me a new one this year. :-) ....
