The efforts have moved towards getting new devs to learn this stuff. That said, I think it's a dead end and I think a lot of getting new devs is more about undercutting the guys at retirement who are asking 3-4x what a new dev would expect to make. Of course the older devs also have decades of experience and understanding which cannot be understated and shouldn't be undervalued. -- Michael J.
