I sit corrected. It's smPp, short message peer to peer protocol which may
be reached via an smTp gateway or other messaging gateway. The SMS (short
message system) is the application just about all phones use as text messaging.
There's also a variety of SMS/SMTP gateway softwares available for various
OS.
