Around the block from me is a company that manufactures trusses for housing
and industrial construction, and I heard from one of their next door neighbors
 they had dedicated fiber or at least T1 or T3 service, and were providing
internet service via mesh networking.  Due to being in the country with less
than 10 houses per mile makes it hard to establish the line of sight needed
to make up for any neighbors in between that do not participate in the mesh
network.
