In general, systems of faith do more good than bad.  The overlying issues bein
g they run best when operating at a distance from other belief systems and
their lack of tolerance of other systems is assured because the word of the
creator is deemed absolute.  Any argument lies in how the word is
translated.

Other social systems share similar qualities, however something else is
placed on a pedestal instead of an all powerful diety.
