Letting the tribe look after the kids collectively sounds like such an ugly
idea.

Same with elders, really. By the time you cannot afford to have your elder in
home, you are past the point you can ask a neighbor to look after him.

I wouldn‡'t have let my grandmother anywhere else but under professional care
when she went past the point we could take care of her.

I know who my neighbors are and I would not trust a candy bar to them.
