Different question, Is Midnight Commander relying on NCurses? I found it very unstable under iTerm2 on MacOS. lot of CTRL+L to refresh the damn thing.

I was always blaming Ncurses for that as I found also some different apps that rely on it and are not always compatible with my still favorite terminal emulator
