While Linux is catching up (slowly), Ac> it still has a ways to go when it comes to high-end gaming. I'd like to see more Linux support for gaming too. It sounds like it has come a little ways though. I've heard of Proton for Linux, allowing more Windows games to run on Linux, but I think it still has a bit of a ways to go. Native Linux versions of games would be ideal too - but I've been seeing more of that too. Several months ago, I heard of a 2018 sequel to the old PC Descent games, called Overload, and it's available for Linux, as well as Windows and Mac. And if you like flight simulators, X-Plane is available for Linux - I've tried it, and I actually think it's quite good. There's also an open-source arena shooter game called Xonotic that's pretty good (it's somewhat similar to Unreal Tournament). And the Java version of Minecraft should naturally run on Linux too.
