For decades a friend of mine and I played Doom 2 and other similar games daily
over the phone lines until he moved away last year. The Win98 system I was
using for that is still operational but it's a while since I used it. I tend
to play other games on my Laptop when it's just myself and, as mentioned, the
Win98 machine is getting a little old for a lot of online uses..

That said, when I do feel like playing the old games there are Ports that
allow you to play those old DOS games with better controls and graphics that I
have installed on the newer Laptop as well.
