I was doing photo journalism in high school and we would develop our own film. Still, the cameras were NOT automatic focus or anything, so you had to set the F-Stop, the speed, etc. and then take time to develop, then do the prints (that's where I REALLY learned what it meant to 'crop' something!), so yeah, you want the compisition to be up there! :-D ....
