I was really intrigued by that. Perhaps I didn't know there was a command shell out there for packet, but that makes perfect sense, I'm guessing it is a 3rd party one? That would take a ton of work out of making a minimalistic one from scratch, and would make it pretty easy to spin up. This comes up from time to time, patricularly on the Synchronet Sysops echo, and I'm fairly certain even Digital Man said he is not aware of anyone running SBBS on packet. DM himself is a ham radio operator, and I think just got back from Dayton as well. Also, not trying to discourage anyone from tring this, I just don't know of anyone doing it - BPQ32 was (and I'm guessing still is) a PITA to setup and has a steep learning curve, but it's what "everyone" uses to my knowlege. --------------------------------------------------------- Sysop of Desert Rats Sanctuary --- https://bbs.kn6q.org --- þ Synchronet þ Desert Rats Sanctuary --- https://bbs.kn6q.org .
