After the Toronto shooting not too long ago, I heard the mayor of Toronto said
something like "What do ordinary citizens need with guns?"  (I've heard it's
not legal for citizens in Canada to purchase guns.)  It's interesting that
different countries have different attitudes toward gun ownership.  I think
I've heard that gun violence is much lower in Canada though..  but with the
recent shooting there, maybe there isn't really a correlation.
