Just came back from the Jon Batiste show at the Mountain Winery in
Saratoga, CA last night. He's a wonderful, engaging entertainer. Felt
like I was in a New Orleans Jazz club. Amazing piano player, wonderful
voice.

Didn't know a one of his songs, enjoyed it thoroughly.

Dinner was halibut with a dollop of fennel cream and caviar, mashed
potatoes and spinach, at Hero Ranch Kitchen. Wonderful. Dessert was a
"butter cake", which lived up to it's billing.

Next up? Gary Numan at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. This was his show in
