MR> why dont you? arent movies just a waste of physical space if they MR> are on dvds? The reasons have already been given. Are you not paying attention, or what? Since you're slow to understand, I'll repeat some of them for you: 1. The streaming service might pull (for many reasons) a title from their inventory that you want to watch. 2. Your internet connection may be down for whatever reason. 3. Many older and specialty/niche films are not offered by streaming service. Here's a perfect real-world example: For those of us who live in "hurricane country", we sometimes have power losses which last for hours, days, and even a couple of weeks. Things get pretty boring sitting around a house with no power (OR INTERNET). But.... assuming one has a generator, you can power up a TV and a Blu-ray player, and watch a fuckin movie that you have on disk. You understand now, dummy? .... Some days you're the hammer, and some days you're the nail. --- MultiMail/Linux v0.52 þ Synchronet þ Palantir BBS * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL .
