There is a difference between having been released on DVD and being readily available in any form. For example, the Silver Brumby series was released on DVD in a limited number of regions and now it is hard to grab the whole series in DVD. Once you do, chances is the DVDs won't work in your media appliances because they were released for a different region. In other cases it is just that the number of DVDs released from the factory is just small. My regular online DVD (Spanish) store runs out of popular DVDs quickly and once they are out they don't renew them - probably because they are not on distribution channels anymore. The Bay Street people does not seem to like Tor.
