people need to educate themselves.  i'm sure this fine print is everywhere.
torrentfreak.com is a great news site despite the weird name.

in the past a sony exec said you shouldn't backup your dvd or whatever to one copy.  they said the price is so low you should just buy another.

they'll take whatever actions they feel like until they are brought into court over it. i believe the law used to be that you could make one backup copy. it could be that they lobbied some politician and now that's gone.
