This is a problem I am facing right now. Oftentimes you cannot purchase the DVD because it simply didn't get released at all.

Not that it matters much because new movies have a tendency to stink and not be worth the purchasing price anyway. However, sometimes you want to purchase a classic and you find out you can
only get it second hand as an old edition.
